Season pass
If you purchased a new Kärntner Skipass season pass in the online shop in the winter season 2024/25, yes, this is possible. Older keycards CANNOT be recharged in the online shop. You can recognise the new keycard by its pink background design with the Kärntner Skipass logo on it (white snowflake). This allows you to conveniently recharge your keycard from home in the online shop for the new winter season 2025/26.
Please note, that if you need to provide a required proof document in the online shop, a verification period of at least 48 hours is necessary before the ski pass is activated.
Older generation keycards cannot be reloaded in the online shop, but can be loaded at the ticket counters of all participating ski resorts. When ordering online, click on “I don't have a keycard”. The system will assign you a new keycard, which you can purchase. Please note that the ski passes you order will be sent to you by post, which can take up to 5 working days (within Austria) / more than 5 working days (abroad).
Ordering process in the online shop:
1. Go to the online shop at: shop.kaerntner-skipass.at
2. Then log in to your existing customer account.
3. Select whether you want to purchase a single ticket, family package, grandparents package or partner package.
4. Select the number of person(s) → the appropriate ski pass or package will be calculated automatically.
5. Add the ski passes to your shopping cart.
6. Important: Now assign the ski passes to the keycards already saved in your account. Make sure you select the right keycard for each person – the system will already make a suggestion for you.
7. Upload required documents when requested..
8. Check your order again and then click on “Buy now”.

6. Personalize the ski passes with the names of all persons, their dates of birth, photos and the proofs requested by the system.
7. Last step: Check your order again and then click on "Buy now".
What data/documents can I prepare in advance?
-) Dates of birth of all persons
-) Portrait photo: JPEG image in portrait format, with a neutral background, focus on the face (tip: take a photo with your smartphone in portrait mode or photograph a passport photo)
-) Have any supporting documents ready: proof of residence/registration form, proof of education, disability card, etc.
How will the ski passes be delivered?
Skipasses ordered in the online shop will be sent automatically by post free of charge to the address provided. An information e-mail will be sent out as soon as the ski passes have been checked, printed and are on their way to the desired address. Your keycard can then be recharged in subsequent years.
How long does delivery take?
Once the order has been completed, it takes up to 5 working days within Austria for the purchased ski passes to be delivered to the desired destination address by the shipping service provider. Outside Austria, longer delivery times are to be expected, depending on the country.
If you suffer an injury in a skiing accident and are therefore unable to continue using your season pass, a partial refund may be granted at our discretion upon presentation of a medical certificate.
In this case, please fill out our refund form online. Please have your invoice (or email order confirmation if you purchased your pass online), your doctor'report and a photo of your keycard ready.
If you submit your documents before 14 January, half of the ski pass price will be refunded. You will receive a third of the price back by 14 February. However, it is the date of submission that counts, not the date of injury! For family and partner packages, only the prorated ski pass price (as calculated in the package) will be refunded. Please note that no refunds will be granted after 14 uses, regardless of the time component.
If you lose your ski pass, you can take your receipt directly to a ticket office in any participating ski resort and fill out a loss form. Your keycard will be cancelled immediately and a new ski pass will be issued to you for a processing fee of € 25.00 (plus € 5.00 for the keycard).
When making a purchase - whether online or offline - you will receive a keycard. This is personalised and works contactlessly at all access points to the ski resorts. The turnstile opens automatically and you can simply pass through it.
Your season pass is valid from the first day of the ski season - so as soon as the first ski resort in Carinthia/East Tyrol opens - and remains valid until the last ski resort closes in Carinthia/East Tyrol (max. unitl 31 May).
The Kärntner Skipass is valid in 31 ski resorts in Carinthia and East Tyrol. You can find the complete list of all ski resorts under the menu item “Ski resorts”.
The keycard is read contactlessly as you pass through access control. You can simply keep it on the left side of your jacket, but you should keep mobile phones or other devices away from it, as these can interfere with reception. It is not necessary to insert it into a reader. Avoid bending or damaging the keycard.
No. All season passes are personalised and feature a photo of you. They are not transferable to other persons. Independent inspectors and employees of the ski resorts check these at random. In the event of abuse, the ski pass will be withdrawn without replacement and, if necessary, a complaint will be filed. Please note the general terms and conditions of sale for the Kärntner Skipass and the respective conditions of carriage of the individual ski resort.
The keycard that comes with the purchase of a season pass has always been a purchase card and is not issued in exchange for a deposit. Because it is personalised for you, it cannot be returned.
The advantage: you can recharge it again – making it sustainable and practical.

Multi-day pass
In the online shop, you can conveniently recharge your existing keycard as a multi-day skipass. You can use any keycard from a participating ski resort for this purpose. With the recharged multi-day pass, the keycard is valid in all participating ski resorts, is recognised contactlessly at all access points and can be returned to all sales points at the end of the season.
If you do not have a keycard at home, you can still purchase your multi-day pass online. When you place your online order, you will receive a pick-up code with which you can collect your ski pass (keycard) at the ticket offices in any participating ski resort.
If you purchase your multi-day pass directly on site at a sales point in Carinthia or East Tyrol, you will also receive a keycard as a data carrier – valid in all participating ski resorts.

If you suffer an injury due to an ski accident, please contact the ski resort from which you purchased your ski pass. A goodwill refund can be made by presenting a medical report together with your multi-day pass.
Unfortunately, you are not entitled to a replacement if you lose your ski pass. However, depending on the ski resort, a new pass may be issued in certain circumstances, so it is best to check with the issuing ski resort.
